She was baptised in the Parish chu rch there on December 31st 1813. The 1871 census shows Fanny and her o lder sister Jane living together in Burton Latimer; their great neph ew Cecil Edgar aged 6 was also living there. Fanny is listed as "th e proprietor of cottages" At the time of the 1881 census Fanny was li ving at Main St. South End, Burton Latimer. Her age was given as 66 a nd her occupation was given as "formerly cook". Her great nephew Geo rge aged 11 was also living there. Fanny never married and when sh e died in 1882 she left her "real and personal estate and effects" t o her brother George who was then living in Outlands, Tasmania. (He r sister Jane, the original legattee, having already died). This am ounted to 269. 7s.9d. (a large sum of money at the time) and may als o have included some property. Although in her will Fanny's abode wa s given as 43 Great Ormond Street she apparently died at Burton Latim er .
