General:

Very little evidence that this is correct. In the 1841 census Henry' s wife is listed as Elizabeth, but this may be an error by the enumera tor. Henry's youngest daughter, Elizabeth Mary Elliot Driver, was bor n in 1838 and the use of 'Elliot' as a forename implies a link with th e Elliot surname. That, in turn, seems to indicate that Ann Elliot wa s his only wife. She is listed in the 1851 and 1861 censuses and die d in 1876.
