General:

Eliza appears to be the daughter of Samuel BLACKMORE and Mary unknown . However, in the 1861 UK census she appears as the daughter of Joh n BLACKMORE and Mary Ann DRIVER. Her father Samuel died in 1842 and i t's probable her mother died in 1853. If Samuel and John were brother s it would make sense that Eliza went to live with her uncle and aun t after her mother died. This theory is possibly reinforced by my sus picion that Walter BLACKMORE is actually Eliza's son and not John an d Mary Ann's. Until further evidence emerges I have linked Eliza to S amuel Blackmore and Mary Ann Westlake as the weight of evidence point s to her being the daughter of Samuel rather than John.
