James was born in 1816 at Kingswood, Wiltshire. An I.G.I. record show s that he was christened there on 7th July 1816. The 1851 census sho w a James Millman aged 34, born at Wotton, Glos. (Kingswood , Wilts w as also known as Kingswood by Wotton under Edge and I am assuming t h a these two James's are one and the same). He was married to Sara h and had five children, the two eldest having been born in London. T hey lived at 47, York St. St. Pauls. Bristol, not far from his cousi n Charles Millman and family.
